Jayasree K. Iyer, Executive Director of the Access to Medicine Foundation, will speak at the Call to Action on Antimicrobial Resistance conference in Berlin on Friday, 13 October, 2017. The event, organised by the Wellcome Trustin partnership with the UK, Ghanaian and Thai governments and the UN Foundation in support of the work of the Inter-Agency Coordination Group (IACG), will bring together national governments, multilateral institutions and civil society to focus on the most critical gaps in tackling the development and spread of drug-resistant infections, and to commit to concerted and tangible actions on addressing AMR. This conference will provide a platform to build consensus around the key priorities and to further coordination and cooperation across all sectors involved in addressing AMR and Sustainable Development Goals.

Jayasree will talk about improving access to antimicrobials and the indicators of success in combating AMR.  She will also speak on the Foundation’s forthcoming Antimicrobial Resistance Benchmark, and how it aims to build consensus on incentivise and guide pharmaceutical company action on AMR.
